The Kogi State Government has expressed sympathy to victims of the recent accident at the old Zango in Okunchi, assuring leaders of the community and families of victims of support by the government.
Speaking at the scene of the accident at the weekend, the State Project Coordinator of AGILE and political leader of Okunchi Ward, Tijani Oricha noted that the Adavi Local Government Council was actively engaged in the rescue operation and evaluation of the situation.
He explained that he received a call from the ward councillor about the incident, after which he promptly informed the Honourable Commissioner for Works, Engineer Yusuf Muhammed.
