Kogi State Director of the City Boy Movement, Chief Mark Ogah has reiterated his support for the economic reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while formally declaring his intention to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives.
Ogah made this known during an interview on Lugard TV in Lokoja, where he defended the administration’s policies amid concerns over the rising cost of living stressing that the economic difficulties faced by Nigerians are temporary consequences of necessary reforms.
According to him, the policies introduced by the Tinubu-led administration are aimed at addressing long-standing structural issues in the economy and laying a solid foundation for sustainable growth.
“There is no denying that Nigerians are facing challenges, but these reforms are critical to fixing the system. With time, the benefits will begin to manifest,” he said.
Ogah also pointed to what he described as early gains of the administration, including improved fuel availability and access to student loans, noting that such interventions are already easing pressures on citizens.
He emphasized the role of the City Boy Movement in mobilizing young people across Kogi State, noting that the group has established structures at the ward and local government levels to boost political participation ahead of the 2027 elections.
