Ebira women under the Ebira Vonya Women Association, also known as Fancy Women in Politics, have pledged their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The women made the pledge at a mobilisation rally in Lokoja, where they also promised to support other APC candidates in the 2027 elections.
The rally was organised by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Women Mobilisation, Hon. Abdulkadir Rukayat Ajoge.
Ajoge said Ebira women, as well as women across Kogi State, were ready to mobilise for the party, noting that they had their Permanent Voter Cards to participate in the elections.
She said women had received greater recognition and opportunities to serve in government under the APC administration.
According to her, the administrations of former Governor Yahaya Bello and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo had appointed women to key positions in government.
Ajoge said the women would repay the gesture by working for the success of APC candidates from the presidency to the State House of Assembly.
Also speaking, the Kogi State Auditor-General for Local Government, Hon. Siyaka Yakubu Adabenege, commended the women for their support for the government.
Adabenege said Bello laid what he described as a solid foundation for the development of the state, while Ododo was building on the achievements, particularly in security, unity and infrastructure.
He commended the Ebira Vonya Women Association for its mobilisation efforts and pledged his support for the group as it takes part in the 2027 campaigns.
The Auditor-General said the Ododo administration would continue its efforts to tackle criminal activities and protect lives and property in the state.
The women pledged to take their campaign to wards and polling units across the state in support of Tinubu, Bello, Ododo and other APC candidates.
