The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a controlled process for candidates who have lost access to their registered phone numbers or email addresses.
JAMB disclosed that the service, which commenced on Monday allows candidates with genuine cases to update their registered GSM number and/or email address.
The board said the service could only be accessed at designated JAMB Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres, including State Offices where applicable.
According to JAMB, applicants must undergo strict identity and biometric verification before any changes can be made to their registered contact details.
“Please note: The service can be accessed only once and is subject to strict identity and biometric verification,” JAMB said.
The board advised candidates to use only designated JAMB centres and avoid unauthorised individuals or unofficial channels when seeking to update their details.
JAMB said the initiative is designed to provide a secure way for candidates with genuine access challenges to regain control of their registered contact details while protecting their accounts from fraudulent changes.
