Gov. Ododo Receives APC Winning Team, Congratulates winner of Okura Bye-Election

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo has congratulated the winner of the just concluded bye election in Okura State Constituency of Dekina local government area, Hon. Hassan Yakubu Musa of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Governor who received members of the APC winning team led by the State Audtor General, Alhaji Yakubu Okala in Abuja commended the team for their spirited efforts that delivered victory for the APC and its candidate in the election.

Governor Ododo described the victory as a clear indication that the people of Okura and Dekina local government are satisfied with the leadership of the APC both at the state and the national levels.

He said the outcome reflects the confidence reposed in the ruling party and its commitment to delivering development and good governance across the state.

“With this mandate, Hon. Hassan Yakubu is set to represent the good people of Okura Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly. I am confident that he will provide quality representation, honour the memory of the late Hon. Enema Paul, and ensure the voices of the people are heard. His victory is also a message that our people are happy with the APC, and I assure you that under my leadership, the impact of government will be felt in every part of Kogi State,” he stated.

The Governor further commended the people for their supper for the candidate and the party and urged them to work with the winner in the collective interest of Okura Constituency and Kogi State at large.

The APC candidate, Hon. Hassan Yakubu scored 55,073 to beat the closest rival Hon. Godwin Meliga of the PDP who scored 1,038 votes in Saturday’s bye-election in Okura State Constituency of the Kogi State House of Assembly
