Rasheedat Ajibade Joins Paris Saint-Germain on Three-Year Deal

Paris Saint-Germain have completed the signing of Nigerian international Rasheedat Busayo Ajibade on a three-year deal that will keep her at the club until June 30, 2027.

Ajibade, born on December 8, 1999, in Mushin, Lagos, joins PSG from Atlético de Madrid, where she spent four successful seasons after leaving Norwegian side Avaldsnes IL in 2021.

The 25-year-old forward played a vital role for Atlético, making 25 appearances in the 2024–25 season, scoring eight goals and providing three assists, further establishing herself as one of Africa’s top attacking talents.

The Nigerian forward has had an impressive career for both club and country. She was named the Nigeria Football Federation’s Young Player of the Year in 2018 following her breakout performance with FC Robo Queens.

Since then, she has become a key figure in the Super Falcons squad, earning over 30 international caps and captaining the team to two Women’s Africa Cup of Nations titles in 2018 and 2024.

Ajibade has also showcased her talent on the biggest stages, featuring prominently in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup and the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Her consistent performances and leadership qualities have made her one of Nigeria’s most celebrated football exports, and her move to PSG marks another major step in her evolving career.

This is a major step for me, and I’m committed to giving my all to help PSG win titles and to inspire young footballers, be they in Nigeria or elsewhere,” she said.
