Nigerian trumpeter Joshua Olusanya, popularly known as Trumpet Influencer, has officially entered the Guinness World Records for the longest marathon playing the trumpet, after a determined second attempt. His successful performance lasted 25 hours, 30 minutes, and 36 seconds, and took place between May 9 and 10, 2025, at Terra Kulture in Lagos.
This accomplishment comes after a disqualification in February 2024, when his initial 24-hour, 46-minute attempt was nullified for pausing to drink water, which Guinness World Records ruled had disrupted the continuous flow of the performance. Despite the setback, Olusanya said the experience strengthened his resolve to make history.

His endurance challenge not only celebrated artistic expression but also served as a global call for the recognition of music education and instrumental talent in Africa and beyond.
