Vice President Shettima Leads Celebrations for Governor Ododo’s Anniversary in Lokoja

Vice President Kashim Shettima, representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, arrived in Lokoja, Kogi State, to commemorate the first anniversary of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration. The Vice President’s visit was a key moment in showcasing the collaborative efforts between the federal government and the state, with Shettima actively engaging in activities that underscored the administration’s achievements and ongoing projects.

During the celebrations, Shettima took the opportunity to praise Governor Ododo for his outstanding leadership over the past year, noting that the governor’s commitment to Kogi’s development had already begun to yield significant results. Shettima highlighted the governor’s focus on infrastructure, particularly the ongoing road projects, and assured the people of Kogi State that the federal government would continue to support the state’s progress. He acknowledged the importance of these projects in improving the state’s economic landscape, commending the successful collaboration between federal and state authorities.

A key feature of Shettima’s visit was the commissioning of two major road projects aimed at improving connectivity and economic development in Kogi. The 9 km Zone 8 to GYB Road and the 5.5 km Zone 8 to Crusher Road are expected to boost transportation across the state, making it easier for residents and businesses to thrive. These projects reflect the administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, which has been one of the central pillars of Governor Ododo’s governance.
